The worst Television receptionists ever

The receptionist gets something of a rough ride on television. They have a very tough job being the public face of the company, always having to be bright and breezy and dealing with some very difficult customers and clients. They are at the front line of the business or operation and a Visitor Management System would certainly make their lives easier. The receptionist has certainly given comedy writers a bit of mileage. Here are some of the worst.

  1. Manuel in Fawlty Towers. An interesting stay is promised at the best of times in this hotel but it can get off to a pretty bad start if this famous waiter from Barcelona is on call to book you in and take your bags.

  1. Computer says No. We have all been faced with a situation like this. Carol, the creation of Little Britain star David Walliams sits unhelpfully staring at her screen occasionally typing something into it. Whatever your query or request you can guarantee that the Computer will not be positive about it as Carol will sadly tell you.
  2. One of the worst was the totally unhelpful Leisure centre receptionist in The Day today news show spoof. A real stickler for the rules, she refused to help a man whose locker key had fallen out in the pool telling him to go and look for it.
