Classic game shows remembered

Game shows have been a staple on our televisions for years. Some of them took the prime time slot of Saturday evening and others were shown just after teatime in the week. In order to fully enjoy these shows you need to make sure that you have a fully working television and an aerial that allows for crystal clear pictures. A TV Aerial Installation Swansea company can help out if you need a new aerial fitted, so you can be ready to watch some classic tv.

Here are some of the classic game shows that have been on our televisions over the years.

  • The Weakest Link – presented by the Queen of Mean – Anne Robinson the show saw contestants pitted against one another to answer a series of questions and banking money for the all important final round before deciding which of the other contestants they wanted to vote out as the ‘weakest link’.

  • Blockbusters – fronted by the great Bob Holness the show was a mixture of connect four and a trivia quiz. With the contestants picking a letter and answering a question based around that letter. A correct answer would see that letter turn either blue or white (depending on the team) – with the overall aim to create a linking line of your team’s colours across the board.

  • Supermarket Sweep – now who wouldn’t love a dash around a supermarket with a trolley? Supermarket sweep saw the contestants answer questions to gain time to run around a supermarket set and grab the most items possible to see who has the most expensive shop in order to win the final prize.
